| Manuel Blasco de Nebra was one of the most talented musicians of 18th century Spain. Born in Seville to a family of musicians he was groomed by his father for his own post of organist at the Cathedral before predeceasing his father. His compositions for keyboard have since his lifetime been overshadowed by the reputation of Domenico Scarlatti, who died when Blasco de Nebra was 7. This world premiere recording features the award winning Carole Cerasi who adds Blasco de Nebra to a distinguished line of overlooked composers she has brought to world attention. |
